It easily inflates with a push of the button and is really high. I have mobility issues and have no trouble getting on or off the bed. It deflates really well with a push of the button and sucks all the air out. It goes completely flat and can go right back to the nice bag it comes with. One note is to put extra blankets under the person, it is rather chilly with just a sheet. Love the felt stuff on the top that prevents the sheet from slipping. Overall very happy with this bed!
