Amazon takes your money, no consumer assistnce/protection, February 22, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Intex 66973E 2 in 1 Air Bed System is a Deluxe Raised Inflatable Mattress or 2 Queen AirBeds with Pump Aero I bought this air bed from Amazon on 1/17/12. I have made many purchases from Amazon in the past. The air bed arrived 3-4 days later and I put it away until my guests arrived in February. The very first night of their visit, we inflated the mattresses (there are 2 of them), and my in-laws were awakened in the middle of the night as both mattresses had lost their air. Frantically, we re-inflated the beds, checked all the valves and they tried to sleep. Within a short time the mattresses lost air again. Contacting Amazon, they referred me to their vendor (passing the buck) who informed me that the warranty had expired because I had 48 hours from purchase date to return the mattresses. Amazon investigated (after my third phone call) and the end result is that I am out more than $150.00 because the warranty time period had elapsed. Amazon is the company that I dealt with, not their vendor, and they have my money but feel no responsibility to see that I receive fair treatment. This... Read more
